Responsibilities & Context
- Assisting the procurement manager in developing and implementing procurement strategies, policies and procedure
- Conducting market research and analysis to identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors
- Negotiating contracts, prices, terms and conditions with suppliers and vendors
- Preparing and issuing purchase orders, invoices and other documents
- Monitoring and tracking the delivery and quality of goods and services
- Managing inventory levels and ensuring adequate stock availability
- Resolving any issues or disputes with suppliers and vendors
- Maintaining accurate and updated records of procurement activities, contracts, suppliers and vendors
- Preparing and presenting reports on procurement performance, costs and savings
- Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment of procurement objectives and requirements
