Responsibilities & Context
This position will be responsible for creating patterns, prints, and textures that enhance the aesthetic appeal of textiles used in apparel. This role combines artistic creativity with technical expertise to produce designs that align with fashion trends and manufacturing capabilities.
- To develop original surface patterns and prints that reflect current seasonal trends and align with the brand’s visual identity, ensuring aesthetic consistency across collections.
- To conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging fashion trends, consumer preferences, and competitor strategies, guiding the creative direction of textile designs.
- To work in close coordination with product development, marketing, and production teams to ensure that design concepts are both creatively compelling and technically feasible for large-scale manufacturing.
- To utilize CAD software to create detailed design specifications and technical drawings for production.
- To oversee the selection of materials, colors, and textures, ensuring high-quality production standards·
- To supervise the creation of textile samples or prototypes to test designs before full production.
- To ensure that all surface designs meet functional, aesthetic, and manufacturing standards, maintaining a consistent level of quality across all finished products.
