  • Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Description:

We are seeking a Procurement Assistant Manager to join our team at a large, integrated textile manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in the textile or fabric manufacturing industry, with a strong background in sourcing raw materials, machinery parts, and production-related items. Candidates with an engineering background will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage procurement of raw materials, spare parts, and consumables for spinning, weaving, dyeing, printing, and finishing operations.
  • Source and negotiate with vendors to obtain the best value in terms of cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with both local and international suppliers.
  • Coordinate closely with production, maintenance, planning, and inventory control teams to forecast and fulfill operational needs.
  • Ensure timely procurement of critical spare parts and equipment to avoid production downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and continuously explore opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.
