  • Experience with the detailed documentation of providing social services to trafficking survivors or vulnerable and at-risk groups, and detailed reporting mechanisms;
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and sensitivity to support vulnerable and at-risk groups and communities;
  • Strong understanding of gender and diversity issues;
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bangla.
  • Demonstrate computer proficiency: i.e. MS Office, database management, coordination via email, project-specific management information systems, etc.

Responsibilities & Context

Location: Trishmile More, Nagorghata, Tala, Satkhira.

Job Context:

Agrogoti Sangstha, a national NGO, working to empower local communities and institutions to ensure Human Rights and Good Governance for all is inviting applications from qualified and committed professionals for immediate appointment for a development project entitled “Fighting Slavery and Trafficking in-person (FSTIP)”. The main objective of the project is to prevent trafficking, child marriage (CM) and gender-based violence (GBV) by building awareness, strengthening local counter-trafficking mechanisms and enforcing accountability practices in local government according to the National Plan of Action (NPA) against Trafficking. Furthermore, the project will sensitize institutions to provide increased access to services to the survivors and people at risk of trafficking, child marriage and GBV.

Project Coordinator (PC) will work under the direct oversight of Agrogoti Sangstha in partnership with Winrock International. The PC will work as the lead of the FSTIP project. Leading and managing project activities to ensure prevention and reduction of trafficking, CM and GBV by increasing knowledge and awareness of people at risks and by building and maintaining a collaborative and interpersonal relationship with service providers. The PC will identify and plan the provision of relevant social services. The PC is also expected to demonstrate ethical engagement and care with the survivors and at risk communities, gender-sensitive methodologies of communication and guidance. He must also ensure compliance with Winrock International’s ‘Code of Conduct’ and ‘Do No Harm Policy’, whilst maintaining privacy and confidentiality of information respective to each beneficiary.

Only short-listed candidates will be invited for the physical written exam and viva.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead a Project team and provide professional and technical support to project staff and other stakeholders of FSTIP project;
  • Overall management of project implementation and activities based on the operational plan to achieve project target in time complying with donor requirements;
  • Day-to-day supervision and need-based monitoring of the activities of project team
  • Coordinate the overall case management (identification system);
  • Ensure relevant social protection services to survivors and people at risk;
  • Coordination with other government and non-government service providing organizations to ensure service through referral;
  • Coordination with Government, Local Government, Counterparts, Donors, NGOs, other related stakeholders and Projects;
  • Prepare quarterly and annual narrative report and variance report;
  • Develop and implement procurement plans and provide audit responses timely and accurately;
  • Actively manage to ensure baseline, mid-line and final evaluation is accurately done considering Winrock’s requirements;
  • Attend regularly in Government meeting and other coordination meeting in working districts;
  • Monitor program components at field along with training, workshop, meetings at different levels and provide feedback;
  • Organize performance appraisal of staff as per their job description and take necessary actions for staff development;
  • Setup files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured;
  • Monitor and update Kobo ToolBox database in timely manner;
  • Build and maintain liaison with Local Administration, Law enforcing agency, legal institutions and networks in line with human trafficking, child marriage and gender-based violence; and
  • Maintain the confidentiality of project document, beneficiaries and abide by organizational regulations
