Additional Requirements

  • Age at least 35 years
  • Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role, with at least 2-3 years in aleadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead andmotivate a team.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for costsavings and process improvements.
  • Proficient in using procurement software and tools.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance standards.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of buyers, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Set clear performance expectations and goals for the buyers, monitoring their progress and providing regular feedback.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and pricing agreements.
  • Collaborate with various internal departments, including sales, supply chain, and finance, to develop and implement procurement strategies that meet the company’s needs.
  • Analyze market trends and conditions to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation.
  • Review and analyze purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in procurement, in corporating them into departmental strategies and processes.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations for the buyers, providing constructive feedback and identifying training and development needs.
  • Resolve any escalated issues or disputes with suppliers, working closely with the buyers to find suitable resolutions.
  • Keep stakeholders informed about the status of ongoing procurement activities, providing regular reports and updates Commitments
  • Collaborate effectively with the associated department and other departments
  • Respect deadlines and prioritize tasks in order to finalize them in due time.
  • Ensure good work quality and efficiency.
