- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and strategies.

- Strong negotiation and analytical skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for costsavings and process improvements.
- Proficient in using procurement software and tools.

Responsibilities & Context
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of buyers, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Set clear performance expectations and goals for the buyers, monitoring their progress and providing regular feedback.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and pricing agreements.
- Collaborate with various internal departments, including sales, supply chain, and finance, to develop and implement procurement strategies that meet the company’s needs.
- Analyze market trends and conditions to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation.
- Review and analyze purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in procurement, in corporating them into departmental strategies and processes.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for the buyers, providing constructive feedback and identifying training and development needs.
- Resolve any escalated issues or disputes with suppliers, working closely with the buyers to find suitable resolutions.
