Responsibilities & Context
- Ensure accurate receipt, storage, and issuance of yarn as per the production plan.
- Maintain optimal stock levels and reorder points to avoid overstocking or shortages.
- Implement FIFO (First In First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry First Out) practices for yarn movement.
- Monitor stock aging and ensure timely utilization to reduce waste.
- Supervise yarn unloading, inspection, storage, and issuance.
- Coordinate with production, planning, and procurement departments for timely availability.
- Ensure systematic stacking, labeling, and binning of all yarn materials.
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliations with ERP or manual registers.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry in ERP (in-house system).
- Supervise store assistants, forklift operators, and labor staff.
- Train team members on best practices in safety, inventory handling, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols for handling and storing yarn.
- Minimize damage or contamination of yarn through proper handling practices.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the store area.
