Requirements

Additional Requirements

  • Bangladeshi people with the experience of product development in sweater are highly preferred.
  • 10+ years in knitwear product development, with extensive experience in managing multifunctional technical teams.
  • Deep understanding of yarn construction, knitting structures, gauge handling, and knitwear production techniques.
  • Proficiency in Shima Seiki programming and development systems.
  • Strong knowledge in technical fit development, finishing standards, and customer approval workflows.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills to work across international teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead PD operations within a fast-paced and customer-focused environment.
  • Fluency in English; and/or Arabic is an advantage.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end product development process for sweater categories and gauges.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of Shima programmers, technical product developers, technicians, and linking operators.
  • Establish and implement efficient product development workflows, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and critical calendar dates.
  • Ensure timely development of concept samples, fit samples, SMS, color samples, and swatches in close collaboration with the UK design and technical teams.
  • Guarantee high-quality sample output, aligned with the technical and aesthetic standards of international retail customers.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure the critical path for bulk execution is tracked and achieved.
  • Conduct technical risk analysis and pre-production readiness reviews to ensure seamless production handover.
  • Provide hands-on technical support across yarn properties, Shima programming, knitting techniques, and linking operations.
  • Work closely with the UK team to align product creation strategies and co-creation calendars.
  • Train and mentor the local PD team, fostering the growth of future local leaders and building internal technical talent to support long-term expansion.
