Requirements

Education

  • HSC, Bachelor/Honors
  • Minimum HSC or Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

Additional Requirements

Skill and Competencies:

  • Prior experience in a medical receptionist or billing role preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare billing practices.
  • Proficiency in billing software, MS Office, and electronic health records (EHR)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially

Responsibilities & Context

Responsible for:

  • Greet and welcome patients in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Register new patients and update existing patient records.
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries about services, timings, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff to maintain smooth patient flow.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization at the front desk and waiting area.
  • Generate and issue invoices for consultations, procedures, and diagnostics.
  • Verify insurance coverage and process claims accurately.
  • Collect payments (cash/card/UPI), issue receipts, and reconcile daily collections.
  • Maintain accurate records of billing transactions and outstanding payments.
  • Assist patients with billing-related queries and resolve discrepancies Coordinate with the accounts department for audits and reports.
