Responsibilities & Context
Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Architect with experience in furniture design and manufacturing to join our team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between architectural concepts and high-quality, functional furniture production. This role involves translating client requirements and spatial plans into innovative furniture solutions that are both aesthetically pleasing and manufacturable at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop architectural furniture concepts tailored for residential, commercial and industrial
- Develop architectural concepts and translate them into functional furniture designs.
- Prepare and review production-ready technical drawings and 3D renderings.
- Create high-quality 3D models of Interior designs, including exteriors, architecture, and landscapes, based on architectural drawings and design briefs.
- Develop detailed, photorealistic renderings and visualizations to present design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
- Develop detailed Furniture Modeling & Rendering as per design briefs.
- Collaborate with production engineers and designers to ensure feasibility and quality.
- Site visits for measurement, supervision and design validation.
- Ensure designs meet aesthetic, functional, budgetary and safety requirements.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ensure designs comply with ISO/ANSI/BIFMA standards.
- Experience working with 3D visualizations tools (Lumion, Ray, Enscape).
- Strong understanding of furniture ergonomics, materials (wood, metal, upholstery) and joinery techniques.
- Knowledge of production drawings, detailing, and BOM (Bill of Materials).
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, CNC machine operations and assembly standards.
- Ability to use project management tools (Trello, Asana and any others).
