Education
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting
- Minimum Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance or Commerce; CA (CC) or part-qualified ACA/ACCA preferred.
Experience

- At least 5 years’ experience in accounting..
- In-depth knowledge of Bangladeshi Tax Laws, VAT, and Company Act.
- Experience in dealing with, NBR, and external auditors is essential.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP).
- Strong communication skills in both Bengali and English
Responsibilities & Context
- Financial Management & Bookkeeping
- Maintain accurate books of accounts including ledger entries, journal vouchers, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, and ensure timely reconciliation.
- Ensure financial records comply with IFRS and Bangladesh Financial Reporting Standards (BFRS).
- Taxation & Compliance
- Prepare and file monthly/annual VAT returns and withholding tax submissions.
- Ensure full compliance with the Income Tax Ordinance, 1984.
- Calculate and pay corporate taxes, employee income taxes, and manage tax deductions at source (TDS).
- Liaise with NBR (National Board of Revenue) and handle audits and assessments.
- Audit Management
- Coordinate annual statutory audits with external auditors.
- Prepare audit schedules and ensure smooth and transparent audit processes.
- Maintain and organize all supporting documentation for audit and compliance review.
- Dealing with Government Authorities
- Communicate effectively with BMET (Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training) officials for licensing, renewals, and compliance.
- Handle inspections and official visits from regulatory bodies.
- Maintain accurate records and reports as per BMET requirements.
- Payroll & Employee Accounting
- Prepare monthly payroll, including salary disbursement, overtime, bonuses, and leave encashment.
- Calculate and deposit PF, Gratuity, and other employee-related provisions.
- Ensure all statutory deductions are made and deposited accordingly.
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Assist management in budget planning and variance analysis.
- Monitor expenditure to ensure budgetary control and cost-effectiveness.
- Bank & Treasury Operations
- Manage cash flow and maintain optimal liquidity levels.
- Documentation & Internal Control
- Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation for all financial transactions.
- Develop and enforce internal control policies and procedures.
- Reporting
- Provide periodic financial reports to management and board of directors.
- Generate customized MIS reports to support decision-making.
- Undertake any responsibility assigned by MD, Directors & the Chairman
