Additional Requirements
- Age 28 to 42 years
- In-depth knowledge of spinning machinery components and their spare parts (e.g., blow room, carding, drawing, spinning, and winding machines)
- Strong understanding of inventory control systems and techniques, including stock level optimization, reorder points, and handling of high-value/critical spare parts.
- Proven ability to source and negotiate with suppliers and vendors, ensuring the timely delivery of quality spare parts at competitive prices.
- Experience in budgeting for spare parts procurement and managing costs without compromising quality or machine uptime.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address equipment downtime or parts quality issues swiftly.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
- Experience in guiding a team, with the ability to mentor and oversee junior staff involved in parts inventory management.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) to track spare parts inventory, procurement, and procurement processes.
Responsibilities & Context
- Maintain optimal inventory levels of critical and consumable spare parts for spinning machinery (e.g., blow room, carding, draw frames, ring frames, autoconers).
- Identify and liaise with approved vendors/suppliers for timely procurement of quality spare parts at competitive prices.
- Monitor stock levels regularly and initiate reorders to prevent stock outs and overstocking.
- Track fast-moving, slow-moving, and obsolete items.
- Coordinate with the maintenance department to understand part requirements for preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of spare parts receipts, issues, stock levels, and consumption patterns using ERP or inventory management systems.
- Implement cost-saving measures by evaluating alternate suppliers, standardizing parts, and avoiding unnecessary procurement.
- Ensure adherence to company policies regarding spare part usage, storage, and handling. Facilitate internal/external audits.
- Understand technical specifications of spinning machinery components to ensure correct part identification and compatibility.
- Assist in training and guiding storekeepers or junior staff involved in spare parts
