Assist in receiving fabrics from suppliers and checking quantity and condition.
Help store fabrics in the correct area based on type, color, or order.
Keep records of received and issued fabrics using manual or computer systems.
Support fabric issuance to the cutting or production floor as per plan or requisition.
Inform supervisors when any fabric is running low or needs reordering.
Take part in monthly and yearly fabric stock counts with the store team.
Help prepare basic reports about fabric stock, movement, and balance.
Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the fabric storage area.
Learn and follow the system of using older fabric rolls first to avoid wastage (FIFO).
Report any damaged or faulty fabric rolls to the supervisor.
Follow safety guidelines while handling and moving fabric rolls.
Cooperate with other departments like Merchandising, Cutting, and Planning for smooth workflow.
