Responsibilities & Context
- Reporting to the Head of Retail Business, the primary role of this position is to oversee the activities of the Regional managers and monitor their performance as a whole. The Head of Regional Sales will be responsible for regularly defining and communicating the business’s KPIs and targets to Regional Sales personnel.
- The person will be primarily responsible for analyzing patterns in consumer and market behavior and drawing meaningful inferences that will subsequently lead to data-driven action strategies. It is a leadership role that requires the incumbent to consistently optimize and steer the commercial performance of the retail business.·
- The ideal candidate must have sharp commercial acumen and a deep understanding of the retail consumer behavioral pattern, region-specific socio-economic status and an ability to analyze sales departmental performance. Regular visits to the regions is required. Experience with life insurance companies is a plus.
- Job Responsibilities:
- Supervising Regional Sales managers and their team.
- Designing and implementing strategic plans to reach sales targets continuously·
- Assist the Head of Business to set forth robust business plans and follow through the execution in a dedicated manner·
- Set revenue targets (first years and renewal), plan and manage Regional Managers to achieve the set goals.
- Lead, manage and coach the Regional teams to enhance the team capabilities and achievement of goals.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams like policy servicing, underwriting, customer service and marketing to drive business smoothly.
- Have a strong product focus to ensure the most optimum product mix that best fits the market.
- Assist the Head of Business to ensure net profitability of the business unit with a keen focus on the bottom line.
- Conduct required training to team members as needed.
- Effective execution of monthly, quarterly, yearly, and special regional campaigns.
- Help drive loyalty campaigns at producer and customer levels to ensure that “Guardian Life” remains the brand of choice while boosting the customer satisfaction level.
- Planning, monitoring, and appraising sales results.
