Responsibilities & Context
- Receive and inspect incoming fabric materials, ensuring quantity and quality match with requirement of purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate inventory & records using ERP or inventory management software.
- Organize and store fabrics in a systematic and accessible manner; like racking & using palates.
- Maintain separation of warehousing for job wise, order wise, color wise, type wise, organic, non-organic.
- Monitor fabric consumption and stock levels and update reports.
- Issue materials based on production requirements and implementation of LIFO-FIFO method.
- Prepare and maintain documentation such as goods receipt notes, stock registers, and issue slips.
- Conduct periodic physical stock audits and reconcile with system records.
- Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and identification of different types of fabrics.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the fabric store area.
- Follow safety and handling guidelines for different types of fabrics.
- Collaborate with quality control to address any issues related to defective or damaged materials.
