Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Merchandising, Fashion Technology, Textile Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

Additional Requirements

  • Age 35 to 45 years
  • Any nationalities age 35-45 years with at least 10-15 years in similar position.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of cut and sew Circular knits is must. Added Experience in woven and outerwear products will be preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, fabrics, trims, and costing.
  • Strong communication and email correspondence skills, especially with overseas buyers.
  • Proficient in using Excel, PLM/ERP systems, and order management software.
  • Strong coordination, follow-up, and multitasking abilities.
  • Sound understanding of quality standards, lab testing requirements, social and technical audits/compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms, export documentation, and shipment handling.
  • Fluent in English communication skills.
  • Ability to travel domestic and international.
  • Candidates with working experiences in Bangladesh will be preferred.

Responsibilities & Context

RedAlpi Group, an Italian Apparel Trading Company established since 1990 with head quarter in Bangkok, Thailand is looking for Merchandising Manager for Dhaka, Bangladesh Office.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for international buyers regarding product development, costing, approvals, and order execution.
  • Interpret buyer tech packs, BOMs, and specifications, ensuring correct sample development and production execution.
  • Coordinate with Vendor’s sampling, fabric sourcing, production, and quality teams to meet buyer expectations and deadlines.
  • Monitor critical path timelines and ensure milestones (samples, approvals, PP meetings, bulk production, shipment) are met.
  • Negotiate costs with buyers and vendors to maintain profitability while meeting quality and delivery standards.
  • Prepare T&A (Time and Action) calendars for all active orders and follow up daily.
  • Conduct risk assessments and troubleshoot any production, quality, or delivery issues proactively.
  • Manage order tracking systems and update buyers regularly with progress reports.
  • Maintain strong relationship with existing suppliers and source new supplier for future orders.
  • Ensure Vendor compliance status with buyer requirements.
  • Effectively manage, follow up, support and motivate a team of 10 merchandiser.
