- Minimum HSC or Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
Additional Requirements
Skill and Competencies:
- Prior experience in a medical receptionist or billing role preferred.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare billing practices.
- Proficiency in billing software, MS Office, and electronic health records (EHR)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
Responsibilities & Context
Responsible for:
- Greet and welcome patients in a professional and friendly manner.
- Register new patients and update existing patient records.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries about services, timings, and procedures.
- Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff to maintain smooth patient flow.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the front desk and waiting area.
- Generate and issue invoices for consultations, procedures, and diagnostics.
- Verify insurance coverage and process claims accurately.
- Collect payments (cash/card/UPI), issue receipts, and reconcile daily collections.
- Maintain accurate records of billing transactions and outstanding payments.
- Assist patients with billing-related queries and resolve discrepancies Coordinate with the accounts department for audits and reports.
