Responsibilities & Context
(PAID INTERNSHIP)
We are looking for dynamic personality with counseling mentality for our Study abroad solution Team. Counselor Intern will assist credentialed school counselors in providing comprehensive counseling services to students across academic, social-emotional, and college/career domains. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in a school setting under the supervision of experienced professionals.
- The intern will collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and administrators to create a supportive and success-oriented environment for all students.
- Provide individual and small-group counseling to students on a range of issues, including academic planning, social skills development, and emotional well-being, under direct supervision.
- Assist in the development and delivery of classroom guidance lessons on topics such as study skills, and career exploration.
- Collaborate with school counselors in the implementation of the school counseling program’s goals and objectives.
- Participate in Student Support Team meetings as appropriate and under supervision.
- Assist students with college and career exploration activities, including research, application processes, and financial aid awareness.
- Develop knowledge of and assist with crisis intervention and management protocols.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders under the guidance of the supervising counselor.
- Engage in professional development activities and supervision meetings.
- Supporting students writing and drafting relevant documents.
