Responsibilities & Context
Receiving Goods
- Inspecting deliveries for damage or discrepancies.
- Unloading trucks.
- Verifying and recording incoming inventory.
Storing Inventory
- Organizing products systematically.
- Labeling items with barcodes or SKU numbers.
- Ensuring items are stored safely and efficiently.
Inventory Management
- Keeping accurate records.
- Performing regular stock counts (cycle counting or full inventory audits).
- Using warehouse management systems (WMS).
Order Fulfillment
- Picking items based on order slips.
- Packing products securely.
- Labeling and preparing shipments.
Shipping
- Coordinating with couriers or transport companies.
- Ensuring correct shipping documentation.
- Tracking outbound shipments.
Safety and Maintenance
- Following health and safety guidelines (e.g., OSHA standards).
- Maintaining a clean and hazard-free work area.
- Reporting or fixing broken equipment.
Equipment Operation (if certified)
- Using forklifts, pallet jacks, or conveyor systems.
- Ensuring equipment is used properly and safely.
Reporting and Documentation
- Filing delivery receipts and shipping logs.
- Reporting shortages, overages, or damaged goods
